My passion for hockey started at an early age. I laced up my first pair of skates at the age of four. I grew up attending the Minnesota State High School Hockey Tournament with my dad, marveling at the size and scope of the event. My parents often share that as a six-year-old, I would emulate the play-by-play broadcaster while playing my favorite hockey video game. It came as no surprise to them when I decided in college that my career goal was to broadcast in the NHL one day.
While hockey players idolized legends like Wayne Gretzky and Bobby Orr, I’ve been inspired by broadcasting greats such as Gary Thorne, Bob Cole, Rick Jeanneret and Mike “Doc” Emrick. At every opportunity, I have worked to make my dream a reality. I’m currently working as the Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations for the Tulsa Oilers, the ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Winnipeg Jets and AHL’s Manitoba Moose.
